What is Dublaj.io, is it free, and what are the alternatives?
Short answer: you can play it free as a guest, with paid VIP tiers on top. Here is what free gets you, and what to play if you want a clip of your own.
PartyDub ·
Dublaj.io is a Turkish multiplayer dubbing game that runs in a browser. Somebody picks a scene and opens a room, sends the others a six-character code, and everybody records their own character's lines; the takes are then mixed into one video that the whole room watches at the same moment. It is a name people search in a hurry, so here is what it is, what it costs, and what else there is.
What is Dublaj.io?
A browser game in which a group voices the characters of a film or series scene together; the site says it is made by Lesily Studio. The catalogue mixes Turkish and foreign film, series and meme scenes, some of them marked 18+, and every scene lists how many characters it has — which is how many players it takes. The scenes on its home page ran from one character to six. Its menu also lists a page of players' dubs, a Dub of the Day and a Discord server.
How a game of Dublaj.io goes
- Pick a scene that fits the size of your group. Each card shows its length and its number of characters, and a silent preview plays when you point at it, so you know what you are getting into.
- Open a room. You get a six-character code to send, and friends join from their own browsers as guests.
- Get your character. The server hands them out at random — not even the person who opened the room chooses — and nobody hears anyone else's take until the end.
- Record, then watch. You record your line when your turn comes and can redo it as often as you like; the takes are mixed into one video that everyone sees at the same moment, and a studio lets you fix the volume, timing and tone and render it again.
Is Dublaj.io free?
Mostly, going by its own pages. Its FAQ, its About page and its membership terms all say Dublaj.io can be played for free and that the paid VIP membership is optional; the FAQ adds that you can play as a guest, with nothing to install. What free leaves out is on the pricing page: faster rendering, 1080p output, a final video without the Dublaj.io logo, fifteen voice effects and the scenes reserved for members. In early November 2026 VIP cost 199 Turkish lira for 30 days and VIP+ 459, and neither renews by itself.
One thing to check before you gather a group: one answer on its "how to play" page says the opposite — that voicing scenes and building the final video is unlocked by a membership. The pages do not agree with each other, and this guide does not pick for them, so open a room and see what a free guest can do before everybody is on the call.
What membership adds
- —Fast rendering: your finished video jumps ahead in the queue.
- —1080p output, and a final video without the Dublaj.io logo that free videos carry.
- —Fifteen voice effects to put on your takes.
- —Scenes reserved for members, plus a badge by your name and a role on its Discord server.
- —With VIP+, friends who have no membership can join your room and play the members-only scenes too.
Payment goes through Shopier, so card details never reach Dublaj.io's own servers. Its FAQ says a membership is a digital service performed instantly, so as a rule there is no right of withdrawal; refunds are given when a membership could not be applied, for duplicate payments, and for a long loss of access.
Can you bring your own clip?
Not directly. Its scene page asks players to suggest the scene they want; the suggestions are voted on, the most-voted move to the front of the queue, and the team adds the scenes itself — a link only tells it which scene you mean. VIP moves your suggestions up the review queue. So the library is whatever its team has added so far.
What can you play instead?
PartyDub is ours, so weigh this part accordingly. It is the same evening in a browser tab — a group re-voices one scene without hearing each other, then watches every version back — with three differences that matter here. The host brings any clip off their own device, which goes straight to the other players and is never uploaded, or picks one from the public library. Everybody can dub the whole scene instead of one character each. And the whole site is available in Turkish, with a six-character code to join and no account or download for the people joining. A free download carries a PartyDub watermark; supporters' downloads do not.
The two side by side
| Dublaj.io | PartyDub | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free as a guest; VIP 199 and VIP+ 459 Turkish lira per 30 days | Free |
| Plays on | A browser, nothing to install | Any browser: phone, laptop, Mac |
| Players | One per character in the scene you pick | 2 free, up to 10 with a supporter hosting |
| Characters | Handed out at random by the server | The room splits them, or everybody dubs the whole scene |
| Scenes | Its own catalogue, some for members only; players suggest, the team adds | Your own clip, or the public library |
| Final video | One mix of everybody's takes; free videos carry the Dublaj.io logo | Download — a PartyDub watermark on free, none for supporters |
| Site language | Turkish and English | Eleven languages, Turkish among them |
Which fits depends on what you want from the evening. If your group wants the scenes Dublaj.io has gathered, and either does not mind its logo on the result or would pay for fast rendering and effects, it is built for that. If you would rather dub a clip of your own, for free, open a PartyDub room.
