Terms of Service

1. What PartyDub is
PartyDub is a real-time party game. It provides the software that lets a group of people re-voice a video clip together and compare the results. It is a tool. We do not supply, host, curate, recommend, or distribute any video clips, and we have no library of content.
2. Your content
You choose what to bring to PartyDub. By using the service you represent and warrant that:
- You own, or have all necessary rights, licences, and permissions to use, any clip you select.
- Your use of that clip and your recordings does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- You will not use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.
You retain all rights in whatever you bring and whatever you record. We claim no licence to it, because we never receive it.
3. How your content is handled
Clips and recordings are processed entirely in your browser and on the devices of the people in your room. They are transmitted directly between participants. They are not uploaded to us, not stored by us, and not processed by us.
One narrow exception: when a direct connection between two participants cannot be established, the connection may be routed through a third-party relay server. That relay is automatic, transient, and performed at your direction. Nothing passing through it is inspected, logged, or retained.
4. Accounts
You need an account to create a room. You do not need one to join a room. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, and we will terminate accounts of repeat copyright infringers.
5. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PartyDub and its operators against any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you bring to the service or your breach of these terms.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any session will complete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be signalled by updating the date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction. [Confirm this with counsel — you may be established in one country while serving users subject to another country's intellectual-property law.]
